So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.

YOUTH

The FBC Youth Ministry exists to make disciples of Jesus Christ who love God, love other, and serve

For more information about our Youth Ministry, including a calendar and upcoming events, please check out the youth blog!

YOUTH GROUP:

• Sunday Nights from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.

• Got questions? Curios about Christianity? This is the place for you!

• During Youth Group we connect with each other, discover what God says in His Word about all kinds of topics and play games!

FOUNDATIONS:

• Sunday mornings from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.

• First Baptist offers a Sunday School program for our youth in grades 6 thru 12.

• Foundations helps students build a foundation in the faith through interactive and engaging lessons.

• We have separate classes for middle and high school students.

OPPORTUNITIES TO SERVE:

• Faith is no good if it isn't being lived out in action (James 2:14-17). Serving others is a vital part of being a follower of Jesus.

• Opportunities to serve include within the church, outside the church, and an annual mission trip.

OTHER EVENTS:

We have many other fun events through the year including parties, outings, movie nights, lock-ins, and our annual winter retreat in January.

Please check our blog to find out what might be coming up next.

YOUTH SERVICE PROJECT THANK YOU

Thank you so much to all who donated food and supplies for the Summer Service Project! Thank you to the hardworking students, and to these adults: Linda Murphy, Noah Thomas, Justine Thomas, Bill Downie, Kevin Murphy, Barbara Bradley, Francine Belluardo, Jess Moller, Katie Donovan, Mike Binns, and the awesome group who, through Kerrie Fraser, provided us with lunches (including our Water Country lunch, which was a huge savings!). In all, we wound up painting not three, but SEVEN rooms downstairs! We had a chance to learn more about our context here in Reading, and also were able to do a prayer walk in Reading. We really hope our efforts will serve to make our church a more inviting and appealing space. Please check it out!

SAM/YOUTH THANKSGIVING DINNER THANK YOU

A special thanks to our youth and their families, and our ministry coordinators for preparing a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner for our seniors.

YOUTH MISSION TRIP: August 20 - 24, 2017

Our FBC Youth Ministry traveled to The Fold Family Ministries in Vermont this summer. The Fold ministers to troubled teens and gives them a safe community where they can grow and learn. To learn more about the Fold, please click here! The youth did a lot of physical labor on this trip; they cleaned up the grounds and fixed things - our church family prayed that God would sustain and watch over them and He did!! They were a blessing to all they come in contact with and they glorified our loving Father!

YOUTH MISSION TRIP: August 20 - 24, 2017

Six members of our Youth Ministry went to Boston and assisted with different ministries and learned more about how God works in the city! We partnered with a missions agency called the Center for Student Missions (CSM), which specializes in connecting church youth ministries with organizations that are already established and doing effective ministry in their city. One of our missionaries, Courtney Gingras, works for CSM in Boston and she helped us on this trip! Some of the ministries we worked with included a homeless shelter and an after-school program for inner city children.
