  • reverend dave brooks  

    intentional interim pastor

    The Reverend David Brooks has been in pastoral ministry for thirty years, and he brings over twenty years of experience in interim ministry.

    David earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Maine, a master’s degree in Semitics and Old Testament Studies from Dallas Theological Seminary, and a doctorate in Congregational Renewal through Family Systems from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. David grew up in Maine. He and his wife Kathy have five grown children, and they live in Manchester, NH. 



    Pastor Lorrie has been coordinating our small groups and adult Sunday school programs since 2008. She received her M.Div. from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary as well as a B.S. in Chemistry from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Brandeis University. She has been a chemistry professor at Salem State College since 1990. Lorrie and her husband Keith have two daughters, Rebecca and Katherine, and they live in Middleton, MA.

    director of youth ministries

    Neil is the Director of Youth Ministry, which covers 5th grade through high school. He is currently pursuing a Masters of Divinity degree from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. Neil grew up at FBC and served as a youth group leader and Sunday school teacher before taking over as DYM. His passions include preaching the Word, making disciples of Christ, and playing music.     Director of senior adult ministries (sAM)

    Betty has served on the staff of First Baptist since 2000 when she was hired as the church's first Director of Senior Adult Ministries. In the fall of 2004, she augmented her work responsibilities by assuming the dual role of Director of Newcomer Ministries. Betty is a graduate of Eastern Nazarene College where she earned her degree in education, with a minor in psychology. She also has her masters degree in Moderate Special Needs. She has been actively involved in ministry throughout her adult life. She is also a mother of 5 grown children and has served the Lord as a foster mother for seven children, two of whom she adopted as her own. Visit our SAM page, here.

    Jessica has been serving as the Director of Children's Ministries since May 2012. She previously worked as a teacher in the Hamilton-Wenham and Beverly school systems. In 2004 she graduated from Gordon College with degrees in Special Education, Elementary Education, and political studies. She has also taken master's courses in Applied Behavior Analysis from Simmons College. Jessica lives in Hamilton with her husband Michael, and their three children. Visit our Children's page, here.
